RE: Camping Etiquette

NUMBER 1. Keep your dog under control... no urinating on other folks lawns no aggresive moves towards others, no constant barking, etc
NUMBER 2. No speeding... included bombing around the resort in 'golf carts'
EH!
NUMBER 3 people should clean up after all the Canada Geese poo,Duck poo, squirrel poo, racoon poo, etc etc
Ditto the above. My personal take is I understand and agree with a few of these for safety reasons (speed of cars/golf carts, underage kids driving, etc.). However, it appears that these people that want to go camping and have complete silence as well as no one around them should consider trading in their camper and getting a tent and backpacking so you can sleep under the stars all by yourself and be away from everything. The thing I LOVE about camping is all the people I meet...good and bad. I chalk the bad up to an "experience" that I like to share with other campers I meet. People need to get our of their shell and realize, what their idea of "relaxing" is might not be what someone elses' idea of relaxing is, however, we shouldn't be quick to judge...you don't know what kind of life those people might have during the work week.

Has anyone installed their own slide topper??

Just wondering, I'm looking at getting one, but it'll cost me $300 to have them install (doubles the price of the actual topper). I'm pretty handy and able with some proper direction if anyone has done this before, I'd be interested in how difficult as well as any advice.
Thanks,

RE: Triangle RV World in Frederick, MD

Gayle Kline RV in Mountville, Pa still sells Jayco. We bought our first camper (Jayco) there last year (have since upgraded to Spree). I would have loved to have done business with them again, I just didn't like the floorplans of their TT as much as the Spree. Their service center is excellent and was very helpful with me whenever I had questions!!! I would highly recommend them.

Looking for a nice place to spend a week!

We're looking for a nice campground to go to next year for our vacation. We will be spending a week and prefer something that caters to kids (waterpark, playground, etc.) and if possible is near the beach. Looking for something in the Northeast Region (we live in Pa).
Thanks,

4" Bumper Weight Limit

I'm looking at adding a 4" Bumper Reciever to haul bikes and maybe even tray, I was wondering if anyone know's what the weight limit is of those bumpers? Also, my Spare tire is mounted on the bumper...any issue with this?

RE: disconnect dual cam when backing?

For those of you that recommend removing the bars...in my case, I would agree, however, my drive way has a sloped curve, if I remove my bars, this mean's I've removed the WD, hence, my truck sits really low, and while backing in, I would dig into the sloped curve with the bottom of the hitch. Do most of you have driveways that transition right onto the road with no sloped curb?

RE: Jensen TV and Radio/CD/DVD Surround sound system

I don't have a Jensen unit, but same thing happened to me. What I did if you can is use the headphone jack on the back of the TV. You need a Stereo headphone cable (purchased at Radio Shack), you can then plug from your headphone out from TV into Aux In on Stereo and use the Aux. You won't get "true surround" because it's not dolby digital, however, you will get sound in all your speakers in stereo.

RE: What size generator would I need

I'm considering a 3500w. Would that be adequate to run A/C as well?

What size generator would I need

To be able to run my outlets, microwave, and TV/Stereo? Going to be tailgaiting, and I'm not concerned with using A/C, but would like to have the TV on as well as use Microwave. Also, when most people tailgait with their TT, do you bother un-hooking it from the TV? My TV won't be going anywhere.

RE: exterior doors

Consider buying spout extensions...then the water will drip further away from the camper and not onto the door. If you don't want to buy them, just use clothes line pins...that's what I did.

Slide Topper...is it worth it?

Just got back from a 2 week camping trip in our new TT, however, our site was right underneath a big pine tree...so when we were done, we had tons of pine needels as well as pine cones and small twigs on our slide out. My question is does the slide topper make a difference for this or do you still have to get on the roof to clean off the topper before brining in the slide? Also, does placing slide jacks help make the trailer more stable?

Spree 324bhs front bedroom window

Our 09 Spree 324bhs I believe has a design flaw. The front window on the door side of the camper is a crank out window, however, when you have the window open, the door hits the window...and you cannot have the door open and secured so that just the screen door is closed to allow airmovement unless you close the window almost all the way. I consider this window not even "usable" in terms of functionality and was wondering if anyone has taken any steps to see if KZ will replace this window with a slide up and down window so that it can be functional?
Thanks,

BAL lock arm stabalizers

We just got our new 09 Spree 324BHS and love it (minus the electric awning). However, going from a 23 foot hybrid to a 34 foot fully enclosed, I was somewhat surprised as to how much I could feel movement. I use the dual axel wheel chocks, and I have my scissor jacks cranked down just enough to where they feel some pressure, but not too much b/c I don't want to bend the frame, however, I could feel my dog lie down, my father turn in his bed, etc. I noticed there are some additional stabilizer bars from BAL that can be attached to improve movment...is anyone using these and do they really make a difference??

Electric Awning Questions??

Couple of questions...just finished our first trip in our new '09 Spree, and it came with an electric awning...prefer manual, but will do. Couple of questions...#1 How does one clean the awning? Can't drop it like the manual so wasn't sure how others are doing this. #2 I noticed a LOT of other campers were using tie downs with their electirc awning...is this really recommended? I didn't even take the chance to see if the "dump" feature worked.

Type of Oil used when getting change

I just bought a new TT (GVWR 7500), anyway, I was towing a Hybrid with my 07 Tundra 5.7 DC, and with this upgrade...I'm now towing about 2,000lbs more. My question is should I be using a specific type of oil when gettng my oil changed? I generally just have them put the normal stuff in? I know if I ask the guys that change the oil, they're going to say yes no matter what b/c it's more $$ to them. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
